Baldur's Gate 3 — 120 Hours In
What a third full playthrough reveals about Larian’s reactive writing and the price of that ambition on mid-range rigs.
TechnoFactionGrid publishes long-form reviews, OCE esports breakdowns and honest build guides from a tiny studio on Rose Street. No hype cycles — just games covered properly.

Everything on TechnoFactionGrid is written in-house by people who actually finish the games. Here is where our hours go.

Every major release gets a 2,500-word verdict within 48 hours of launch, scored separately for performance, story and value. All reviews are free to read; the Early Access tier at AU$7/month unlocks embargo-day pieces and the raw benchmark data.

Weekly VOD analysis of Oceanic League play — draft logic, macro calls and the moments that decided each series. We attend the Melbourne LANs in person and file next-morning reports before the highlights drop.

Quarterly build guides across three budgets — AU$1,500 entry, AU$2,400 sweet-spot and AU$3,800 flagship — with real 1440p and 4K benchmarks. Includes undervolting walkthroughs and Australian retailer price checks.

“Their Elden Ring performance breakdown saved me from buying a GPU I didn’t need. The separate performance score is genuinely the reason I subscribe.”

“The only OCE esports coverage that explains the draft instead of just recapping fights. I read the finals report before I even watched the VOD.”
Priya S.

“Followed the AU$1,500 build guide part-for-part. Every price check was accurate to the dollar at the shop down Sydney Road. Rock solid at 1440p.”

“Honest scoring without the marketing gloss. When they dock a game for stutter, they show the frametime graph. That trust is rare.”

No. We buy every game we review at retail, and reviews are never gated behind advertising deals. The Early Access subscription and reader support are what keep the lights on, which is exactly why we can score honestly.
Our target is a full 2,500-word review within 48 hours of a game unlocking. For very large RPGs we publish a First Impressions piece on day one and follow with the scored review once we have genuinely finished the campaign.
Subscribers get embargo-day reviews before they go public, the raw benchmark spreadsheets behind every hardware guide, and a monthly members thread where we answer build questions directly. You can cancel any time from your account page.
Absolutely. We commission a handful of freelance pieces each quarter, especially from writers covering the Australian indie scene. Email us a short pitch and two writing samples and we usually reply within a week.
We work out of a small studio at 83 Rose Street in Fitzroy. It is a working office rather than a shopfront, so drop us a line first — we are happy to meet local readers and developers by appointment on weekdays.
Whether you have a review request, a freelance pitch or a correction, send it through. We read everything and reply within one business day.
